Levi is an unpopular place for South Tyrol's ski aces

The best result to date dates back to 2007, when Manfred Mölgg took seventh place. This was also the only top ten placement by a South Tyrolean in Levi in the entire past decade. In fact, Giorgio Rocca (third in 2006) was the only “Azzurro” to reach the podium in Finland's largest ski resort. Manuela Mölgg and Nicole Gius alone have already completed 16 World Cup races in Levi. Patrick Thaler and Manfred Mölgg each have four appearances to their name. Of the athletes who will be taking part in the World Cup in Lapland next weekend, Riccardo Tonetti from Bolzano is the absolute newcomer, having only appeared once in 2010.
