Lindsey Vonn fires back at Twitter critics

The former ski queen had surgery on her damaged left knee. Immediately afterwards, she posted a video online in which she was visibly dazed, but, as almost always, presented herself with perfect make-up. Not everyone liked that. One user teased on Instagram: “At least your makeup is on point.” Another commented on Twitter: “False eyelashes and makeup after surgery? Class? No."

Vonn didn't miss the opportunity to answer. "Yup! I wore makeup and had eyelash extensions for weeks. Believe me, surgery is no fun, and from my experience, wearing makeup is the only way to feel better." And further: "Great? I do not care. I do my thing, you do your thing.”

Otherwise, the positive feedback and well-wishes predominated. One user joked on Twitter: “This could be an extremely opportune time to borrow money from you. Or to ask you to marry me. You probably won't remember that." Vonn's response: "Okay, that's funny."
