Mölgg: “Now I’m looking forward to the Christmas cookies”

The Enneberger Manfred Mölgg was sixth. An important result for the 36-year-old, especially in view of the “Slalom Month” of January. “Now I'm going home and looking forward to my mother's Christmas cookies. This is how I can recharge my batteries after this stressful week. Then we continue with the training, because January is going to be a very important month.”

Simon Maurberger from Ahrntal came 20th, it is his best slalom result to date: “I didn't risk anything in the second round, I wanted to get a result at the finish. I'm very happy, after all it was my first race in Madonna di Campiglio. Compliments to the organizers, the slope held up great.”

The old master has shown a sign of life Giuliano Razzoli. The 2010 Olympic champion finished fifth with the high start number 69: “It’s unbelievable. I'm skiing well at the moment and things have already gone well in the European Cup. I've worked very hard for three years now, so it's even nicer to be standing here now," said the 34-year-old, who let his tears of joy flow freely at the finish line.

Surprise winner Daniel Yule: “I'm enjoying the moment. I'm just happy. The important thing is that I am satisfied with my performance,” said Yule, the first Swiss slalom winner since Marc Gini in November 2007 at the Reiteralm.

Marcel Hirscher: "It was my fault. I wanted to drive a very tight line and it happened,” said the Salzburg native.
