Manuela Mölgg 7th at the European Cup Slalom in Bad Wiessee

Magdalena Fjaellstroem dominated the first slalom. After a superior best time in the first round, she won by almost two seconds over the Germans Marina Wallner and Marlene Schmotz. The best “Azzurra” was 25-year-old Sara Pardeller from Deutschnofen, finishing in 3,53th place, 13 seconds behind. Manuela Mölgg from Badia came 17th (+4,14 seconds), while Carmen Geyr was eliminated in the second run and Karoline Pichler in the first.

On Friday, victory in the second night slalom went to Marina Wallner. The 19-year-old German celebrated her first European Cup success in Bad Wiessee. Wallner is also no stranger to South Tyrol, as she already took second place at the City Event in St. Vigil in December. Wallner prevailed with a lead of 24 hundredths over the Swiss Nadja Vogel and 56 hundredths over the Austrian Eva-Maria Brem. This time Fjaellstroem had to be content with fourth place. Manuela Mölgg gave a strong sign of life. The 29-year-old from Val Badia drove the second best time in the second run and came seventh, 1,14 seconds behind Wallner. Sarah Pardeller finished the race in 15th place (+2,08 seconds), Carmen Geyr in 21st place (+2.42). Like the day before, Karoline Pichler was eliminated from the first run.

Gisin leads the overall European Cup rankings

In the overall European Cup ranking, the Swiss Michelle Gisin leads with 655 points ahead of the Austrians Nina Ortlieb (651) and Rosina Schneeberger (551). The best Italian is Marta Bassino in 13th place with 375 points. Lisa-Magdalena Agerer from Vinschger is 31st with 224 points, followed by Anna Hofer from Steinhaus (35) in 205th place. Karolina Pichler is 168th with 46 points, Sara Pardeller is 135rd with 53 points.
