Manuela Mölgg reaches the podium in Zagreb

At the World Cup slalom in Zagreb, the woman from Val Badia only had to admit defeat to the “supernatural” Marlies Schild from Austria (1,08:2.01,80 minutes) and the German overall World Cup leader Maria Riesch, XNUMX seconds behind. Manuela Mölgg had already reached the podium in third place at the World Cup opener in Sölden.

After the first run, series winner Schild was in the lead, Mölgg was still in second place after the first run. At the finish, the 27-year-old from Val Badia beamed for several minutes about her third place despite the thick fog. Mölgg's relief at the feeling of success was clearly noticeable after the mediocre results and many failures in the past few weeks.
