Maribor: Maze leads – Karbon is the only South Tyrolean in the second run

The Slovenian leads by 0,47 seconds over the Austrian Kathrin Zettel. Surprisingly, the US speed queen Lindsey Vonn (+ 0,48 seconds) is lurking behind her. If Maze wins, he would no longer be able to take first place in the giant slalom World Cup.

The three South Tyroleans Denise Karbon, Manuela Mölgg and Lisa Agerer were unable to make an impact in the first round. The woman from Castelrotto was the most convincing, qualifying for the second run with 21st place, 1,73 seconds behind. Manuela Mölgg from Enneberg, who started the race with start number 26, was eliminated. Lisa Agerer from Nauders, however, missed a starting place in the second round by 46 hundredths. The best “Azzurra”, however, was Nadia Fanchini in eleventh place (+1,17 seconds).
