Maze leads after the combination descent - Schnarf is beaten

Tina Maze laid the foundation for her third World Championship medal at the title fights in Vail/Beaver Creek on Monday in the combined downhill. The 31-year-old Slovenian leads by two hundredths over the Swiss Lara Gut and 26 hundredths over Super-G world champion Anna Fenninger. Hanna Schnarf from Olang took a disappointing 21st place in the downhill, 3,28 seconds behind Maze.
