Mini Olympics? FIS wants its own major event

Since the Swede Johan Eliasch took over as president, the FIS has been trying to give its reputation a new lease of life. Now they apparently want to tackle another big project – the FIS Games. The date and location for the first edition have already been agreed.

Such crazy ideas certainly don't make the ski races any more attractive. The president is thinking about the tickets he wants to sell and the television rights he wants to sell away, but he might just sit on the junk because at some point one of the drivers will stand up and say he should drive his own races. The toddlers also want to celebrate Christmas every day, but eventually they grow up and they no longer like the cookies in the summer.
