The first training for this year's two downhill runs on the Streif will take place on Wednesday. From the Azzurri's perspective, Dominik Paris (Ulten), Christof Innerhofer (Gais), Mattia Casse, Guglielmo Bosca, Matteo Marsaglia and Petro Zazzi are there.

Dominik Paris is one of the absolute top favorites in Kitzbühel. “It will be a difficult week in terms of weather. The departure on Friday seems feasible. But it may make sense to swap the program on Saturday and Sunday,” said FIS chief race director Markus Waldner in the team captains’ meeting on Tuesday evening. The program in Kitzbühel Wednesday: Downhill training (11.30 a.m.) Thursday: Downhill training (11.30 a.m.) Friday: 1st departure (11.30 a.m.) Saturday: 2st departure (11.30 a.m.) Sunday: Slalom (10.30 a.m./13.30 p.m.)

After just two days of regeneration after the two Wengen downhill runs and the Super-G there, the best downhill skiers in the world traveled on to the ski stronghold of Kitzbühel. Dominik Paris wants to defend the red jersey there.
