With a new look: Hirscher promotes a good cause

He recently posted a photo on Instagram showing him running in the mountains. Background: The “Wings for Life Run” should have taken place in many places around the world on Sunday - but this was not possible due to the Corona situation.

That's why this year you could organize your own race using an app. The goal: cover as many kilometers as possible until you are caught by a (this year virtual) catcher car. Then the race is over. The entry fee goes to the Wings for Life Foundation, which aims to make paraplegia curable.

A total of 77.103 athletes took part in the race in 171 countries, with Briton Michael Taylor managing to complete almost 70 kilometers. Around 2,8 million euros were collected for the foundation.

Hirscher also took part in this run – not for the first time. The photo that he published on Instagram had a special feature: the ski star presented himself with a new, very short hairstyle, which was immediately the number 1 topic of conversation among users: “What happened to your hair?” quite a few users asked themselves.
