After retirement: German slalom ace becomes mother

“It’s time for a new adventure,” Ackermann wrote on Instagram. The 30-year-old, who competed with the last name Geiger until last winter, has climbed two World Cup podiums in her career. The best result last season was fourth place in the Killington Slalom. Ackermann, whose husband Marvin was also a ski racer, also won the gold medal at the 4 Junior World Championships in Les Planards. Now she is ready for a new chapter – far away from the ski slopes and the World Cup hustle and bustle.
