Nadia Delago: A first step towards world leadership

A 21st place in the downhill race in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee had been the best World Cup result for the younger of the two Delago sisters until Friday. In Crans-Montana she now achieved two top 15 places. These performances were already evident in the training trips.

"I'm very satisfied. My sister Nicol immediately wrote and congratulated me,” said the 23-year-old, who has been competing in the World Cup since January 2019, after her 10th place on Friday. Italy's speed women are causing a sensation With a 13th place on Saturday, Nadia was able to confirm her performance from the previous day. Delago seems to be able to develop well in the Azzurre's outstanding speed team. The woman from Val Gardena was “only” the fifth best Azzurra in 2th place on the second descent. With Sofia Goggia, Elena Curtoni and Laura Pirovano, three Italian women made it into the top four.
