Paris shows off in the Garmisch dress rehearsal

The man from Ultimo set the second fastest training time on the Kandahar - even though he made a major mistake at the start of his trip. In the end, Paris was 0,31 seconds behind Vincent Kriechmayr, who set the fastest time. The Frenchman Maxence Muzaton lost 35 hundredths of a second and ended up in third place.

A training surprise was the Italian Mattia Casse, who finished fourth with start number 41. Christof Innerhofer, on the other hand, didn't fully step on the accelerator yet, and in the end he only had the 27th time. Gaiser wasn't the only one who didn't put his cards on the table. Matthias Mayer (11th), Hannes Reichelt (12th) and Beat Feuz (29th) also still have some reserves. Werner Heel finished 28th.

The South Tyroleans have good memories of Garmisch - especially Christof Innerhofer, who won a complete set of medals at the World Championships in 2011 and won the World Cup downhill in 2013. Paris, on the other hand, raced to second place last year.

The descent on the Kandahar is on Saturday (11.30 a.m.), and on Sunday there is the giant slalom (10.30 a.m. first round, 13.30 p.m. second round).
