In recent months things have become quiet around ski ace Manuel Osborne-Paradis. The Canadian has now contacted his fans with a happy message: his wife gave birth to a healthy boy at the end of March. This is the 36-year-old's second child after he and his wife already have a small daughter.

From a sporting perspective, Osborne-Paradis has had very difficult months. In November 2018, he fell so badly during Lake Louise training that he suffered several fractures to his tibia and fibula. His teammate Erik Guay was so shocked by this crash that he ended his career the next day. Attempted comeback at 36 years old Osborne-Paradis, on the other hand, is not thinking about quitting - even though he has now reached the proud age of 36. He didn't let numerous setbacks in rehab (the Canadian had to undergo operations a total of 9 times) derail him. His big goal: to take part in the races in Lake Louise again in November. Then he would compete in a ski race for the first time in two years.

The Canadian ski professional, who won 3 World Cup races in his career (one of them in Val Gardena) and a World Cup bronze medal, is a fighter. A comeback would be a real masterpiece.
