Schladming: Marion Rolland snatches the title from Nadia Fanchini

The 30-year-old Frenchwoman Marion Rolland won World Championship gold for the first time in her career on Sunday in the downhill race in Schladming. There was also good news for the “Azzurri”. After Dominik Paris' silver medal in the men's downhill, Nadia Fanchini was surprisingly named runner-up world champion today. There were no South Tyrolean women at the start.
