Schnarf races onto the podium in the Super-G

Poor visibility, difficult course setting and starting number one. No, the conditions for Johanna Schnarf were not ideal. But the woman from Olanger showed why she should always be on the list. With a strong drive, Schnarf left highly regarded athletes such as Lindsey Vonn and Anna Veith behind him - until Lara Gut came along.

Good makes optimal use of the good conditions

In a race where not all runners had the same conditions, Lara Gut made the most of the good weather. The Swiss was 14 hundredths faster than Schnarf and celebrated her first Super-G victory in a year. Things got exciting again for the Norwegian Ragnhild Mowinckel, but she lost too much in the lower area.

The Austrian Nicole Schmidhofer came in third. She was four hundredths faster than Veith. Lindesy Vonn was unlucky with the weather and caught a lot of wind. She came sixth.

Goggia is out again – Hofer and Delago fall

Sofia Goggia had a wasted day. Friday's downhill winner had problems with her stick at the start and subsequently dropped out. Mikaela Shiffrin also didn't make it to the finish line.

Anna Hofer, who started the race with start number 21, didn't score any points either. The woman from Ahrntal fell but was uninjured. Nicol Delago also didn't make it to the finish line. In a race with many retirements (eight of the first 30 failed to finish), Delago also crashed. Federica Brignone, however, decided not to start.

With Verena Stuffer there is another South Tyrolean at the start. She has start number 48.
