Shock in the Shiffrin house: fire alarm at 2 a.m

The world-class skier said on Instagram that she had briefly experienced anxious moments in the last few days. At 2 a.m., the fire alarm suddenly went off in her Colorado home, sending a "shocked" Shiffrin out of bed. But the American could rely on the fire department, which was there in no time and determined that it was just a false alarm.

Shiffrin was so impressed by the rapid help that she published a long text on Instagram thanking all the emergency services working around the globe. “Thank you to the firefighters from the Edwards Fire Department for coming to me at 2 a.m. and fortunately only finding a false alarm. “I am glad that the house remained intact, but even more so that there are people who are risking their lives to protect others,” said Shiffrin.

She then expressed her gratitude to numerous other people. “To all those who help us in accidents – thank you. To all those fighting on the front lines of the Corona crisis – thank you. To all those who are working nonstop on a vaccine and treatment options against Corona and all the other viruses – thank you,” said Shiffrin’s message.
