Shiffrin cannot be beaten in Lienz either – Mölgg in 21st place

Shiffrin, who went into the decision with a huge lead, took a very deliberate approach to the second round and confidently brought her lead to the finish. In the end, after two runs, the 22-year-old was almost nine tenths ahead of the second-placed Swiss Wendy Holdener and was able to celebrate her fifth win of the season. In total, the exceptional talent now has 36 World Cup victories - 27 of which she won in slalom alone. Behind Shiffrin and Holdener, the Swede Frida Hansdotter completed the podium in third place.

Mölgg scores some World Cup points The only South Tyrolean at the start, Manuela Mölgg, took 21st place. The experienced woman from Enneberg started the second round in 20th place, but was unable to make an impact and ultimately fell back one place.

The remaining “Azzurre” also only played a supporting role in Lienz: Chiara Costazza – still a strong seventh at the halfway point of the race – was eliminated in the second round, while teammate Irene Curtoni ended up in 15th place as the best Italian.
