What Miss Schiffrin is saying is a bit exaggerated. It was a matter of a few minutes; You get out of rhythm, you cool down, but you can also move around a bit in the starting house, you don't have to stand there like a stockfish. That was rather unprofessional of her. There were completely different incidents, such as when the injured Kostelic was left lying on the slopes for almost an hour at the Flachau slalom so that Bode Miller, who was in the lead, could not start.
