He is also the reigning giant slalom world champion. “For me, the first win is actually the easiest. Nobody expects anything,” counters Norway’s figurehead. In any case, Braathen has significantly more self-confidence than he did after his first victory.

The fact that the two Norwegians do not have the best relationship with each other is probably due to the fact that Kristoffersen trains in a private team led by his father and not in the national team.
