Ski beauty Haver-Løseth: Resigns at 31

Haver-Løseth made her World Cup debut at the age of 17, but had to wait until she was 26 for her first victory. The woman from Âlesund achieved this in Santa Caterina when she was at the top of a slalom. Around 2 years later she followed up with the parallel slalom in Stockholm. In total, the extremely popular Haver-Løseth has taken part in 166 World Cup races, achieving 8 podium finishes.

“Here we have come to the end of this wonderful adventure that has been my life for all these years,” writes Haver-Løseth on her Instagram page. "I've had so much fun this season, actually more than ever before, but it's time." As an athlete, it's easy to get lost in the results and she may not have achieved as many podiums or medals as she dreamed of but many of her childhood dreams still came true, says the slalom and giant slalom specialist.

“I am grateful for every single thing this sport has taught me, it has been my school of life. All I can say is thank you; to everyone who took part in this journey, to those who cheered me on and to everyone who supported me. My heart is full and I look forward to starting a new chapter,” concluded Haver-Løseth. Weirather's special farewell There are countless comments under the post - proof of its great popularity.
