Ski star Feller: A baby video is causing a stir

The video shows Feller doing an exercise to strengthen his back muscles together with his son Lio, who was born a few weeks ago. The two are watched carefully by Gernot Schweizer, Feller's fitness trainer. It was actually a sweet video, but Feller soon found himself confronted with critics. The reason: Some users accuse Feller of endangering his son's health.

Feller didn't let the negative comments sit (including "This borders on child abuse") and replied to his critics: "I thought I had to add something here... So to all the would-be doctors, educators and ethics specialists. ..actually I'm completely confused about what you think about it, but I'll still try to explain it for all of you who like to learn," begins his answer, which he then explains in detail.

“Lios' mom and dad regularly go to Uncle Gernot, Uncle Gernot is dad's therapist and helps the two of them get fit again as quickly as possible and of course Lio is allowed to come along! The man next to me is my therapist and fitness trainer and yes, he is also a (children's) osteopath...that means if I did anything that would harm my little angel, I would be immediately reprimanded! I think it's common sense not to shake a child or make jerky movements with it! “Here I don’t do anything different than I do dozens of times a day, I pick up my child,” says Feller.

Finally, the ski star explains: “To everyone who simply says that you don't do something like that because the child doesn't like it...well, children need attention and I don't know how it is with you, but my child complains loudly as soon as he doesn’t like the slightest thing.”
