Slalom king Marcel Hirscher triumphs - Mölgg eliminated
Marcel Hirscher withstood the enormous pressure and was crowned slalom world champion in front of around 50.000 spectators in Schladming. The Italian slalom riders experienced a great disappointment: Stefano Gross was the only one to cross the finish line. Manni Mölgg and Patrick Thaler, who were fourth at halftime, were eliminated.
