“La Goggia” is back: the Olympic downhill champion celebrated in an impressive way Sofia Goggia (ITA) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen made a superlative comeback. The 26-year-old from Bergamo broke her ankle during training in Hintertux in the fall and had to take a break for several weeks. She was already convincing in training in Garmisch and on her comeback on Saturday, Goggia came second in the Super-G. On Sunday in the downhill she again finished second on the podium. Sofia Goggia impressed in Garmisch with her controlled driving style; her “goggiata” (the obligatory serious mistake), which has now become her trademark, did not occur. A good sign, because Goggia, like many ski racers, also has a very thick medical file.

Won in her third World Cup race Nadia Delago (Nicol Delago's little sister) her first World Cup points. The 21-year-old from Wolkenstein finished the difficult downhill run in Garmisch in 28th place, a promise for the future of the three-time downhill winner in the European Cup this season.
