Svindal and Kröll celebrate in Schladming - No South Tyroleans in the top ten

Svindal had an almost flawless ride and crossed the finish line with a time of 1:46.81 minutes. As a result, none of the competitors could even come dangerously close to the Norwegian veteran. Second-placed Beat Feuz was 57 hundredths behind.

The Swiss had to admit defeat to the Austrian Klaus Kröll in the fight for the small crystal ball in the downhill ranking. Seventh place was enough for them to defend their lead in the classification. Local hero Hannes Reichelt took third place at the last World Cup downhill in Schladming.

Meanwhile, the “Azzurri” came away empty-handed again. The best performer was Christof Innerhofer, who narrowly missed making it into the top ten in eleventh place. The three-time World Championship medalist crossed the finish line 1,52 seconds behind Svindal. Dominik Paris was unable to confirm his good training run from Tuesday and finished the run in 14th place (+1,88). Peter Fill took 19th place (+2,65).
