In Kitzbühel everything was once again prepared for a big ski party. 45.000 fans made a pilgrimage to the Saturday race, the absolute highlight of the Hahnenkamm Week. The weather wasn't great, as it snowed heavily, but the conditions were more or less fair. Although the slope should theoretically have slowed down due to the increasing snowfall, Kilde continually increased his lead and finally crossed the finish line with a lead of 67 hundredths of a second. A time that no one could come close to, this time not even the higher start numbers like on Friday because the conditions didn't get any better due to the snowfall.

Curious: Kilde was on the podium with two soon-to-be ski retirees. Clarey has announced that it will be over after this season and also at For Ganong, the signs are clearly pointing to farewell . Someone who is already retired from skiing is Beat Feuz, who competed in his last race on Saturday and came 16th. Bitter for the Azzurri: Mattia Casse missed the podium in fourth place by four hundredths of a second.

Schieder has reached the top of the world There was no skiing miracle for the South Tyroleans this time, but there was another strong result from Florian Schieder. Friday's sensational runner-up, who started in the top 30 for the first time in his career, had a decent run without any major mistakes and is in 12th place in the final rankings - that's his second-best World Cup result. One can say: The Castelrotto native has finally arrived at the top of the world.

Dominik Paris took full risks and was extremely fast in the upper part. The South Tyrolean ski fans had hope for a podium finish, but then the Ultner botched the entrance to the traverse and only ended up in 14th place. Meanwhile, Christof Innerhofer came 17th and achieved his best result of the season.
