Carlo Janka came third in Wengen behind Pinturault and Kostelic

Thanei has to hand over the world speed record to Janka

Carlo Janka set a new world speed record in the Alpine Ski World Cup in Wengen on Friday. The Swiss left the timekeeping at 158,8 km/h in the super combined descent in the Haneggschuss. This is the highest speed ever measured in a World Cup competition.
