Tina Maze combined world champion - Schnarf forgoes slalom start after fall
Tina Maze lived up to her role as favorite in the combination on Monday. The 31-year-old Slovenian won her third medal at the World Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek after gold in the downhill and silver in the super-G. Maze prevailed ahead of the Austrians Niki Hosp and Michaela Kirchgasser. Hanna Schnarf from Olanger decided not to start the slalom after falling during the run-in.
