Tonetti comeback with a big question mark

The man from Bolzano had to take a break for two months before he was able to resume snow training at the end of October. Around a month later, the 31-year-old will make his comeback in Santa Caterina Valfurva - provided that the two planned giant slalom runs on Saturday and Sunday can actually take place. Dire predictions The two giant slaloms were actually supposed to take place in Val d'Isere on the infamous Face de Bellevarde, but were moved to the Valtellina Valley due to the lack of snow in French winter sports. There, the white could once again become a spoilsport: heavy snowfall was predicted for the weekend, which could delay the Tonetti comeback. In addition to the veteran, there are two other South Tyroleans at the start: Hannes Zingerle and Alex Hofer (he has distinguished himself with strong performances in the European Cup).
