It was a special victory for Mikaela Shiffrin: For the first time since December 29, 2019, the ski prodigy was able to climb onto the highest podium in a slalom. This was not only her 68th World Cup victory, but also the 100th podium finish of her career. Shiffrin can also look forward to the highest prize money paid out for a triumph in the women's World Cup: the winner of the Flachau Slalom will have almost 63.000 Swiss francs gross (the equivalent of around 58.000 euros) credited to her account - more than anyone else Run.
