Vidovic wins in Obereggen

Vidovic was already in the lead in the first run. In the end, the 24-year-old's 20th run in the second round was enough to win the traditional European Cup slalom. The Austrian Marc Digruber came in second, 17 hundredths behind. Noel Clement from France completed the podium.

The best Italian was Federico Liberatore from Trentino. Thanks to a brilliant second round, the 22-year-old from Val di Fassa fought his way from 30th to eighth place. For Giuliano Razzoli, however, the race was disappointing. After a weak 47th place in the first run, he was eliminated in the second run.

Tonetti best South Tyrolean

However, there was no top 10 placement for the South Tyrolean slalom riders. Riccardo Tonetti from Bolzano showed a strong second run and improved by eight positions. In the end he came twelfth. Fabian Bacher from Ratschings was unable to maintain his 16th place from the first run. He came 25th. There were no points for the other local runners. Alex Vinatzer ended up in 62nd place, Alex Hofer dropped out in the second round. Simon Maurberger did not qualify for the second run, Hannes Zingerle was disqualified.
