World Cup final: These decisions are still open

This is about the women's Super-G and the men's slalom classification. A Norwegian duel is about to begin here. Lucas Braathen is 32 points ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen. In the Super-G ranking, Elena Curtoni is in the lead. Five runners still have the chance to win the small ball, including Federica Brignone.

Italy is currently in fourth place in the Nations Cup (5.826 points). Switzerland (9.955) leads ahead of Austria (7.863) and Norway (6.306). In the women's category, the Azzurre are currently in second place behind Switzerland and ahead of Austria. In the men's category, however, Italy's skiers are only ranked fifth. Here Switzerland leads ahead of Norway and Austria. Below you can find an overview of all the individual rankings before the World Cup final in Soldeu:

MEN: Overall World Cup (+): Marco Odermatt repeated his overall World Cup victory in an impressive manner, winning eleven races this season. The Swiss has collected an impressive 1.826 points, so 2000 is possible. The Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (1.240) will probably end the season in second place, Henrik Kristoffersen (1.014) in third place. For Vincent Kriechmayr it is about defending fourth place (853) against the Swiss Loic Meillard (831), the Norwegian Lucas Braathen (824) and the French Alexis Pinturault (757). The best Azzurro is Mattia Casse in 16th place.

Departure (+): At the World Cup he had to give way to Marco Odermatt as gold medalist, and in the World Cup Aleksander Aamodt Kilde once again celebrated the small crystal in the downhill. The Norwegian won six races this season, the remaining three went to Vincent Kriechmayr. Here too, Casse is the 6th best Azzurro, although from a South Tyrolean perspective Florian Schieder's 8th place stands out.

Super-G (+): Marco Odermatt won the first speed ball of his career in the Super-G, and as the winner of five races this season, it is highly deserved. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde took the remaining two, meaning there were only three winners in all 16 speed races in 5/8 with Odermatt (3), Kilde (2022) and Vincent Kriechmayr (23). In the discipline rankings, second place has already been awarded to Kilde and third place to Kriechmayr. The best Azzurro is Dominik Paris in 12th place.

Giant slalom (+): Marco Odermatt won ball number three of the season in his best discipline. Six wins this season helped him achieve this, once his compatriot Loic Meillard struck, once the Norwegian Lucas Braathen and once Marco Schwarz. The best Azzuro is Filippo Della Vite in 14th place.

Slalom (-): Lucas Braathen is in the best starting position, bringing 466 points to Andorra. His Norwegian compatriot Henrik Kristoffersen (434) is waiting for his chance, the Swiss Daniel Yule (401) and, in theory, his compatriot Ramon Zenhäuser (367) are still in the race in terms of points. The best Azzurro is Tommaso Sala in 12th place.

WOMEN: Overall World Cup (+): Mikaela Shiffrin has confidently clinched her fifth major ball with, among other things, 13 wins of the season so far. The American surpassed the 2.000 point mark in Aare and has 2.028 in her account. Her first pursuer, the Slovakian Petra Vlhova, is only halfway there with 1.025 and is fighting for second place in Andorra against the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami (1.007). Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia are currently in fourth and fifth place.

Departure (+): Five-time season winner Sofia Goggia secured her fourth downhill crystal. The lead over second place Ilka Stuhec is over 200 points. Elena Curtoni is currently third.

Super-G (-): Austria's only shot chance lives in the Super-G. Five runners are still involved, Elena Curtoni (ITA/332) has the best starting position, followed by Lara Gut-Behrami (SUI/313), Cornelia Hütter (AUT/307), Ragnhild Mowinckel (NOR/306) and Federica Brignone (ITA /288). There have been seven different winners in seven races this season. It would be the first small ball for the 32-year-old Curtoni.

Giant slalom (+): Mikaela Shiffrin took home her second small ball for the giant slalom classification, winning six races in this discipline. The Italians Brignone and Bassino take 4th and 5th place.

Slalom (+): Mikaela Shiffrin's collection of slalom balls is seven large, including this year's, and she celebrated six victories this season. There is no Italian in the top 30 of the slalom rankings.
