World Cup in Levi, a fixed date for Thaler and Manuela Mölgg

The local slalom aces were never able to compete for victory in Lapland, but they still managed to achieve some top results. Manuela Mölgg and Patrick Thaler were always there north of the Arctic Circle. Manfred Mölgg also always stood in the starting house in Levi. This year he has to miss the slalom in Finland due to his serious injury (torn Achilles tendon).

Women's slalom at the start The two-day racing program in Levi begins on Saturday, November 15th with the women's slalom. Manuela Mölgg (St. Vigil in Enneberg) and Sarah Pardeller (Deutschnofen) are at the start from South Tyrol. For Mölgg it is already the second World Cup appearance this season after her start at the opening in Sölden. Last year Mölgg was the best “Azzurra” in Levi when she finished 26th. The 31-year-old's best result was 13th place in Levi (2008). Sarah Pardeller, on the other hand, made her debut last year but was unable to qualify for the second round.

Levi and Patrick Thaler, at least in the last two years, have been a good fit. The man from Sarn took fifth place in 2012 and finished sixth last year. Manfred Mölgg, who came fourth in 2012, narrowly missed the podium. Riccardo Tonetti (Bozen) will be the second South Tyrolean at the start on Sunday, November 16th. He has started in Levi three times so far, but has never finished.
