Werner Heel not in the World Cup group despite a fixed place

The good news: Fabian Bacher from Ratschings has made it into the World Cup slalom team, and Alex Hofer from Castelrotto is now in the World Cup giant slalom team. Bacher was part of the screening squad last winter; Hofer was not on any national teams.

The bad news: The veteran Werner Heel secured a permanent place for the coming World Cup season through the European Cup, but the Passeier native was still moved from World Cup Group 2 to the screening squad (interest national). And Simon Maurberger was demoted to the European Cup squad - after an epidemic season without a World Cup point.

Another surprise is that Alex Vinatzer remains on the European Cup team despite taking part in the Olympics.
