“Like a hangman”: Paris in the league of superstars

In 2013, when Paris won the world's most prestigious ski race for the first time, it was still referred to as "cowherd", but now people are talking about "rock star". Both may be a bit exaggerated, but they show one thing quite well: the transformation into a ski superstar. What more do you want?” A question that now also arises in relation to Paris’s Hahnenkamm career. Maybe the record of Didier Cuche, who won a total of six times in Kitzbühel: five times the downhill, once the super-G.

But one of Paris' big goals is different. He wants to win the downhill crystal ball, which is awarded to the best downhill skier of each World Cup season. While he was already ranked outside the top 2018 three times in the 19/10 Ski World Cup season, downhill leader Feuz's worst placement is 6th place. There are three more runs on the program this year, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Kvitfjell and Soldeu. Paris currently has exactly 100 points, i.e. one win, behind Feuz.
