Max Franz set the best time on Tuesday evening (CET) in difficult visibility conditions in Canada. He left his compatriot Otmar Striedinger behind by 5 hundredths of a second. The American Travis Ganong came third (+0,34 seconds). Right behind them were the two Norwegians Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Kjetil Jansrud.
