M Ski cross

Siegmar Klotz has drawn a line under his active career and now has his sights set on new goals.

After the career is before the career: Siegmar Klotz's new goals

In 2009, Siegmar Klotz celebrated his World Cup debut at the Lauberhorn races in Wengen. Just as the career of the now 34-year-old from Pawigl in Switzerland began, it ended eleven years later - unintentionally and in a different sport.

Siegmar Klotz had competed in 96 World Cup races in the Alpine Ski World Cup when he decided to switch to ski cross in 2016. There he was South Tyrol's best for years before he had a serious fall at the home World Cup in San Candido three years ago. The following pelvic fracture healed, but when Klotz sustained a similar injury in Arosa last year, the road back became increasingly difficult. Because the comeback didn't work last winter, Dominik Paris' friend is now taking new paths. With s+, Klotz reviewed his career, talked about good and bad moments and gave an outlook on his future.
