Why a South Tyrolean ski jumper suddenly became a ski crosser

It is commonplace these days for athletes to change sports - especially in winter sports. From ski jumping to Nordic combined, from cross-country skiing to biathlon, from alpine skiing to ski cross. This spring, however, a young South Tyrolean athlete decided to take a step that has probably never been done in this form before.

Daniel Moroder is only known to die-hard fans. The 20-year-old from Ortisei, son of the successful ski jumping coach Romed Moroder, has been a ski crosser since April. Read with s+ how he wants to gain a foothold in the new sport, why this change even happened and why he has become so famous on social media.
