Agreiter and Insam not in the national team

The president of the Italian Winter Sports Federation, Flavio Roda, announced on Friday the squads of the national teams biathlon, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined and ski jumping for the 2016-17 season. Cross-country skier Debora Agreiter from Val Badia and ski jumper Evelyn Insam from Val Gardena, who withdrew voluntarily, were not taken into account. Sandro Pertile remains racing leader in these disciplines.
