Alex Insam jumps into the points

After a convincing qualifying competition in which Insam took seventh place with a 127-meter jump, it was not enough for the top 20 in the final competition. He was unable to repeat Friday's class performance on Sunday. In the first round, the man from Val Gardena landed at 125 meters and slipped back to 19th place in the intermediate rankings. The second round didn't go any better. With a distance of 119.5 meters and a total score of 237.2 points, Insam takes 22nd place. Nevertheless, the 20-year-old should be happy with his first points in this year's Summer Grand Prix.

The Pole Kamil Stoch outshone everything. After taking first place in the qualification, the Olympic champion also secured first place in the final competition with a score of 280.6 points. He relegated his compatriot Piotr Zyla to second place with a lead of over eight points (272.3 points). A purely Polish podium was prevented by the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud (267.0 points), 0.2 points ahead of the fourth-placed Pole Dawid Kubacki (266.8 points).

On Saturday, the Poles won the team competition with 1073.3 points, ahead of Germany with 1002.0 points and Norway with 998.1 points. The Italian team did not take part in the team competition.
