Seyfarth wins the double, Lundby the overall World Cup

The 29-year-old from Germany beat Norway's Olympic champion Maren Lundby in the first competitions of the new Bluebird Tour on the "Tramplin Stork" on Saturday and Sunday. For Seyfarth these were career successes number two and three.

Seyfarth, who won gold with the women's and mixed teams at the World Championships in Seefeld, was ahead of Lundby (97,0) on Sunday with 95,0 points after jumps of 230,3 and 221,1 m. Third place went to vice world champion Katharina Althaus (214,4), who came fourth in the first competition.

Lundby replaces Takanashi Meanwhile, Lundby was able to console himself by winning the crystal ball. With two competitions still remaining, the Scandinavian is unassailable with 1773 points, ahead of Althaus (1368) and Seyfarth (1271). Eleven-time season winner Lundby can no longer match the record set by Japanese Sara Takanashi, who celebrated 2013 successes in 2014/15. Malsiner in the top 20 Lara Malsiner was once again the best South Tyrolean on Sunday. She landed in 85,5th place with jumps of 86 and 17 meters. Elena Runggaldier took 25th place.

The Bluebird Tour includes a total of four competitions on three Russian jumps. Next weekend, at the end of the season in Tchaikovsky, there will be flying on both the small and large facilities. The top six in the overall ranking receive extra prize money, the winner receives 10.000 Swiss francs (8800 euros).
