The Drei Zinnen Ski Raid is strong

In the past few days, not only large parts of the US national ski mountaineering team around Jenn Shelter and Nico Kovacevic have registered for the 23rd Drei Zinnen Ski Raid. The Austrian Manuel Seibald also wants to fight for the day's victory on the 17,8 kilometer long route with an altitude of 1625 meters.

Seibald celebrated the greatest success of his young career two years ago. In Piancavallo, the East Tyrolean won the World Cup bronze medal in the vertical in the U23 age group. He was also crowned Austrian runner-up in ski mountaineering. Manuel Seibald proved that he is in good shape almost two weeks ago when the RaceTeam TransLemberger athlete won the Hochstein Tourenlauf in his home country. Now the 24-year-old Austrian would like to take part in the South Tyrol Drei Zinnen Ski Raid for the first time and avert the attacks of the competition, such as the American Nico Kovacevic, or the young South Tyrolean Michael Nocker - second behind Seibald in the Hochstein Tourenlauf. Of course we are also looking forward to the performance of “perennial favorite” Anton Steiner from Martell.

When it comes to women, Jenn Shelter is probably the big hunted in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. The 36-year-old American holds most of the course records in her country's most important ultramarathons, but also has extensive experience as a ski touring competitor. Also at the start is Shelter's teammate Ginna Ellis, who is also one of the strongest ski mountaineers and mountain runners in her country.

According to the forecasts, the weather should be good and the snow situation is also ok - so nothing stands in the way of an exciting competition on our challenging original route. We would be happy if numerous more athletes would register for the Drei Zinnen Ski Raid,” said the organizers around Gottfried Hofer and Artur Hackhofer.
