Robert Antonioli, who set the best time in qualifying, immediately looked like he was in top form and in the semi-finals he left the Austrian Innerhofer and the Italian Boffelli in the dust. In the second semi-final, however, the other Austrian Hermann immediately took the lead, Manfred Reichegger tried in vain to catch up, but had to settle for second place, with Nicolini, who caught up one place and thus moved into the final. The finale, the last race today, was a real Antonioli show. He immediately left his competitors behind to secure victory, but then maintained the pace and crossed the finish line first. Hermann couldn't do anything about it and in the end he literally bowed to the three-time world champion. When two people argue... said the third happily, and the third step on the podium went to Federico Nicolini, who managed to hang on to Reichegger, who seemed to promise a little more in the semi-finals.

Elena Nicolini took a threatening tone with the women. She was first in the qualifications and first in the final ahead of Giulia Compagnoni, who beat the German Von Borstel, who achieved the second best time in the semi-finals.

The races in the young categories were also beautiful and exciting. In the Cadetti, the tension rose upon the arrival of the first semi-final, with Alberto Gontier from the Aosta Valley, who appeared first on the home straight, but was overtaken in the last meters by Alessandro Rossi, who "cold him" and won by a distance drove. There were more exciting moments in the final. Rossi wanted a tough duel, Simone Antonioli responded and was the first to leave the skins, but in the final Rossi started the turbo and won the victory. In the girls' race, Samantha Bertolina dominated the race from the first moments, and no competitor managed to challenge her in any way, so she easily won against Anna Folini and Sophie Pörnbacher.

In the Junior category, Nicolò Canclini did not actually expect to take home the success, but with that “bite” that characterizes him in competitions, he managed to hold his own against Stefan Knopf from Germany and against Magnini, who was “only” third became. With the gold medal in her bag, Giulia Murada had just returned from the World Championships and fatigue seemed to be overwhelming her, but the top athlete's determination showed in the tough duels and managed to emerge with a new victory against Mara Martini and Melanie Ploner to claim.
