Aaron March proud: “I will never forget this day”

The 34-year-old Schabser, who now lives in Fiè allo Sciliar, was allowed to go to his 3rd World Cup success on Saturday celebrate his 1st overall World Cup victory and his 2nd slalom ball (he won his first in 2017).

He is the second South Tyrolean after Roland Fiwickeler to win the big crystal ball in a parallel snowboard. Incidentally, all three discipline rankings this season went to the local riders after... Fischler had secured the giant slalom crystal at the beginning of March.

March was certainly overjoyed after the most successful day of his sporting career: “I felt a lot of pressure before qualifying. The narrow victory in the quarterfinals against Andreas Prommegger was of course decisive. Afterwards it was clear that I had done it. I'm really proud that it worked out. I will remember this day forever and never forget it,” said March, who would like to dedicate his triumph above all to his parents, his partner Andrea and his almost 5-year-old daughter Alina.

South Tyrol has a new Brettl king: Aaron March secured the large and small crystal globe at the World Cup final in Berchtesgaden. After the race, the Eisacktal native was overjoyed.
