Coratti storms onto the podium in Moscow

Coratti had to wait 10 months for a podium finish, but now the Langtauferer has returned to the absolute top of the world at the night race in Moscow. He already mastered the qualification in the afternoon in third place, then improved again in the knockout phase and advanced to the semi-finals. That was the final stop against Zan Kosir. However, Coratti then won the “small” final against the Austrian Alexander Payer and thus secured 3rd place. In addition to Coratti, 3 other Azzurri made it into the top 10: Aaron March from Eisacktal was able to convince again in 5th place, Daniele Bagozza from Ortisei took 7th place and Maurizio Bormolini was in 10th place. On the other hand, veteran Roland Fiwickeler, like Mirko Felicetti, had to give up in qualifying. Victory in Moscow went to Russian local hero Dmitry Karlagachev, who put Kosir in his place in a thrilling finale. Coratti storms onto the podium in Moscow

Edwin Coratti made it to the World Cup podium for the 10th time in his career on Saturday. But he wasn't the only one who delivered a very strong performance in the parallel slalom under the floodlights of the Russian capital.
