I'm in good shape myself, I trained really well in the summer, but like my competitors I can probably only say where I stand after the first few races. In any case, I'm happy that it's starting soon and, above all, that the fans can return to the Pra Di Tori piste this year. “I would like to finally achieve a good result here,” Bagozza is flirting with the podium The statements of his teammates Daniele Bagozza and Gabriel Messner sounded similar. “I feel really good. I was already doing very well in Carezza last year until Roland Fischnelller eliminated me in the quarterfinals. This year I'm hoping for a podium finish, even though I don't usually set myself any specific goals, I just try to drive quickly and cleanly," explained Bagozza. Messner, on the other hand, can hardly wait to compete in front of his friends and family. “That’s what you put in all summer and give your all in preparation. I was struggling with a persistent ankle injury, which I now have under control. In Carezza I just want to compete with the best. If you can keep up with our strong team in training, then a lot is possible in the race too,” believes the youngster.

Nadya Ochner, the most successful athlete in the Italian national team, also accepted the invitation to the media event on the Karerpass. “I have extremely fond memories of the races in Carezza. This is where I achieved my first World Cup podium and where I was able to celebrate my first victory. For that reason alone, the races are something very special for me. The preparation was good, especially in the last few weeks I was able to work very well,” said the Burgstaller.

However, OK boss Andreas Obkircher reported on the status of the preparations. “We have a very experienced team in which everyone knows their tasks very well and carries them out very well. The major preparations are almost complete, now it's time to get into the details. When I stand here and see this great winter landscape, the anticipation for our World Cup naturally increases even more,” said Obkircher. “It’s outstanding when our children see their role models live here.” Welschnofen's mayor Markus Dejori Nova Levante's mayor Markus Dejori, however, emphasized the importance of the World Cup races for his community. “It is outstanding when our children and young people can see their great role models live here and share the excitement with them. The 2021/22 Snowboard World Cup starts in just under a week in Bannoye, Russia. The second stage will already take place in Carezza, on Thursday December 16th. Spectators are allowed on the Pra Di Tori piste, but must provide proof of 2G and wear a mask in the entire fan area. The finals will take place from 13 p.m. and will be broadcast live on television (RaiSport).
