A touch of the World Cup: The “Azzurri” train in Carezza

There is already a lot of activity in the South Tyrolean World Cup venue, eight days before the parallel giant slalom on Thursday, December 14th. Prominent training guests have gathered in Carezza: By next Friday, the members of the Italian snowboard selection will be putting the finishing touches on the World Cup slope. The South Tyroleans Nadya Ochner, Aaron March, Christoph Mick, Roland Fiwickeler, Edwin Coratti, Daniele Bagozza, Marc Hofer and Vivien Santifaller, as well as Mirko Felicetti, Maurizio Bormolini, Giulia Gaspari, Elisa Caffont and Alice Lombardi rehearse at the Pra-di-Tori Prepare for an emergency.

These snowboarders are also expected to make up Italy's squad at the World Cup opening. In addition to the large “Azzurri” squad, another 22 nations have registered for the first race. In addition to the numerous athletes, many international journalists have also announced their participation. A dozen reporters are expected to arrive from the Czech Republic alone, which is mainly due to their compatriot Ester Ledecka, who recently caused a sensation as a snowboarder in the Alpine Ski World Cup. It will be just one of the many attractions that await South Tyrolean winter sports fans at the parallel giant slalom on December 14th.
