Filehner & Co. are looking forward to the World Cup in Carezza

For the ninth time in a row, an Alpine snowboarding World Cup event will take place on the Pra di Tori slope in Carezza. But this year the race at the foot of the Latemar is not taking place as part of the World Cup opener. This will take place this weekend in Bannoye, Russia. The race in Carezza will take place in two and a half weeks, but preparations are already in full swing: “We have enough natural snow this year. But we also have to use artificial snow so that the slope is ready for racing again. This means it doesn’t get too soft over the course of the race and the conditions are then the same for everyone,” revealed Georg Eisath, President of Carezza Ski.

The World Cup in Carezza will continue to be classified as a green event. Energy efficiency, waste management, regional value creation and social responsibility are the key factors. Fischlerler: “The slopes in Carezza are always excellent” The athletes are also already looking forward to the World Cup race on the Karerpass: “The slopes in Carezza are always in excellent condition. That’s why all athletes – and not just the Azzurri – look forward to this race every year,” said two-time Carezza winner Roland Filehner. When asked what his goals for the season were, the 39-year-old said: “I just want to ride without pain. I still have a great passion for this sport and still set high goals for myself. If I stay fit, top places are still possible. I now benefit immensely from the experience I have gained.”

For Daniele Bagozza, who was dubbed the “social media king” by team-mate Fiwickeler, this year it is important to build on last season’s achievements. The man from Val Gardena won his first World Cup victory in the Chinese Secret Garden. He also came second in Rogla (Slovenia). “However, those were my only two top ten placements in the World Cup. “So I have to continue to work on my consistency this year,” said Bagozza, who also spoke highly of the piste conditions in Carezza.

“The pressure from outside has of course increased” Nadia Ochner Nadya Ochner, who surprisingly triumphed at the Karerpass last year and subsequently had a consistent season, is also looking forward to returning to her place of success. “Of course I have good memories of Carezza.
