Herrmann Ambach before re-election as state winter sports president

Ambach has led the state winter sports association since 2008 and has agreed to continue for another four years. The entire committee will also run again, with one exception: Vice President Silvano Maranelli is no longer available. The 76-year-old from Bolzano sat on the board of the regional association for two decades and has been responsible for the referees for fifteen years.

President Ambach recently invited Maranelli and all other board members to a dinner together at the Hotel Seegarten in Kaltern. “I wanted to thank my employees for the good cooperation over the last four years. You have worked with great commitment and great success for South Tyrolean winter sports and deserve this little celebration. “I’m of course proud that practically everyone will continue with me,” says Ambach happily.

Committee is increased from ten to twenty members

But there is one novelty: in the election on May 24th, the committee will be increased from the current ten members to twenty, as provided for by the national statute. A total of 14 candidates are available for the 20 committee member positions. The athletes elect four representatives from five candidates, while the two technicians Luigi Ponza and Thomas Rungg are already counted as elected because exactly two places are reserved for them.

The auditors will also be newly appointed. The election will take place on Saturday, May 24th at 14.30:XNUMX p.m. in the “conference hall” of the Pastoral Center on Bolzano Cathedral Square.
