Italian Championship: Filehner and Moroder win gold

Roland Filehner won his fourth Italian championship title in the parallel slalom. “Fisch” won his first in 2002 and his last in this discipline in 2008. In the final, the 38-year-old beat Daniele Bagozza. In the small final, Maurizio Bormolini took bronze by beating Gabriel Messner.

Foreign athletes also took part in the Italian Championships on Tuesday and so the first three places (unofficially in relation to the Italian Championships) for women were occupied exclusively by Asian women. The best “Azzurra” was 19-year-old Aline Moroder from St. Ulrich, who made it to the semi-finals and secured gold. Nadya Ochner and Alice Lombardi were eliminated in the quarterfinals and won silver and bronze.

The parallel giant slalom is on the program at the Italian Championships in Piancavallo on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the women's and men's parallel slalom was on the program at the Italian Championships in Piancavallo (Friuli-Venezia Giulia). Two South Tyroleans secured the gold medal.
